In Their Words

How it works

Three minutes. Every word theirs.

A short video interview with your kid about someone they love. You don't write anything, edit anything, or upload anything. Ask, film, keep.

  1. Ask

Pick who they're talking about — Daddy, Grandma, anyone they love. Bella, our interviewer, asks five questions out loud, or you read them yourself. Nothing to memorize.

  2. Film

You hold the phone and stay quiet. Every answer is recorded exactly as they say it, wild ones included. Redo any answer with one tap.

  3. Keep

About half a minute later you have a short film with their words on screen, a poster of their best line, and a link that plays on any phone. Keep it forever, share it in a tap.

What you get

“Daddy is six seven.”
Emma, age 3 · about Daddy
  • The film

About a minute long, their exact words on screen, with a title card and an ending that holds. It plays on any phone, no app needed.

  • The poster

Their best line as the headline, every other answer beneath it, in one of three designs. Save it, print it, frame it.

  • The link

One link plays the film and shows the poster. Send it in a text; whoever you send it to needs nothing but a phone.

Questions grown-ups ask

How long does it take?

About three minutes to film five answers, and about half a minute for the film to be made. Most families are watching it four minutes after they started.

What age works best?

Three to eight is the sweet spot. Two-year-olds are gold in small doses; older kids ham it up, which is its own kind of keepsake.

Is it private?

Yes. Only people you send the link to can watch. Films are never listed anywhere and never searchable, and you can delete one at any time.

Can we redo an answer?

Yes. Tap Redo while you film, or fix the words on the poster afterwards and the film updates itself.

What if they say nothing?

The room notices a silent answer and asks whether you want to try again, keep it, or skip it. Bella never says "good job" to dead air.

Do I need an app?

No. It works in the browser on any phone. Add it to your Home Screen for a one-tap start and a proper icon.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Films, posters and links are free. You can try it without an account; sign in to keep your films forever and find them on every device.
